Coral Reef Tanks

Coral Reef Tanks

Imagine an aquarium filled with salty water. There is a stunningly magnificent coral in the middle. Nothing short of spectacular. A miniature version of the ocean sitting in your own home.

Ever wished to own a small part of the great ocean biodiversity? Ever wished to have your very own coral reef sitting in your living room, right beside your game trophies? Well, now you can.

While aquariums are mainly put up to showcase fish, coral reef tanks are put up to showcase the corals. Coral reef tanks provide a minute imitation of coral reefs. They are considered the hardest to set-up and maintain, as coral reefs will die if they are at a wrong saline level. While it is true that coral reef tanks or coral reef aquariums may be essentially be the same as ordinary fish aquariums: they all require some form of dedicated maintenance, coral reef tanks have more sensitive needs. Coral reef tanks demand the needs of the corals and, assuming there are any, the other invertebrates and fish in the tank. These require the need to maintain a diverse tank of different species.

While the Mother Earth's vast ocean has very diverse species of fish and is almost overrun with fish, a coral reef tank on the other hand should not be. As you wouldn't want an overpopulated tank.
